Increase of rent

Landlord may only increase the rent 12 months after the date that the existing rent was increase with the existing tenant, or 12 months after the date of the last rent increase.

Landlords can only increase the rent by a maximum amount permitted by law. The maximum allowable rent increase is defined as the 12-month average percentage change in the British Columbia's all-items Consumer Price Index ending in the July for which a rent increase takes effect.

Landlord must give the tenant no less than 3 full month's notice of the rent increase, using the approved notice of rent increase form RTB-7.

業主只可在現有租約生效12個月後向現有租客加租一次、或只可在對上一次加租12個月後再加租一次;

法例規定,每次加租的上限為卑詩省過去12個月的消費物價指數的平均變化為基礎;

業主需用表格 RTB-7 給租客不少於3個月的加租書面通知;
