Port Moody 山明水秀，人口不到4萬人，自Sky Train綫通車後，搬入Port Moody或搜尋該區樓盤的人越來越多，令這小城市成為近期大溫樓市的新貴，連「滿地寶」這新起中文名亦不徑而走。
Port Moody 的華人的人口暫時不多（約佔10%），鄰近的華人社區是本拿比 Crystal Mall，去本拿比和週邊的温哥華、高貴林都很方便, 距離SFU大學也只需10分鐘。
Port Moody 雖小，但該市的家庭年均收入、居民敎育水準都高於其他大溫城市，治安亦跑贏一些華人聚居城市 （見附表），無怪很多人認為Port Moody 是一個理想的居所地。
對Port Moody 住房需求的日益增加令該市的樓價在2021年漲價24%, 尤其該市提供大量需求大的城市屋盤，令Port Moody 的平均房價直逼其他大温城市 (見附表）。
