「入冬家居小貼士」之燒烤爐篇
燒烤是溫哥華夏天最常做的活動,但開心過後清潔燒烤爐的功夫又真的令人「卻步」。
 
網上可找到無數有關清潔「油冧冧」的燒烤爐的方法,我不在此多談,反而想分享一下每年入冬前清潔及儲存燒烤爐的秘訣:
1. 清潔烤架 - 先把燒烤爐加熱到華氏400度 (即攝氏204度), 把殘留在烤架上的食物燒焦成炭後,用鋼絲刷可輕鬆把焦炭刷掉;
2. 清潔燒烤爐內的配件 - 切勿嘗試用溫水浸泡配件,否則浸盤太油無法清洗,最終連浸盤都要報銷。市面上的燒烤爐清潔劑 (BBQ grill cleaner) 可有效去除油污。 先噴在配件上後等15-20分鐘,再用鋼絲刷猛力洗刷和沖水即可。配件晾乾後塗上薄薄的食油以防銹蝕,用布包裹好存放室內;
3.點火器的保存 - 點火器在冬天的低溫下會失靈。拆除點火的電芯和點火器,存放在室內、而位於爐底的兩條連接點火器的電線,記得用防水膠紙包紮好;
4. 煤氣缸的儲存 - 拆除連接煤氣缸與燒烤爐的氣喉,位於爐底的喉管頭端用防水膠紙包紮好。煤氣缸可放在燒烤爐底或後園的戶外地方,切勿放入屋內;
建議每次燒烤完都做 1. 清潔烤架 ,其餘2,3,4 可 每年入冬才做1次。保養得宜的燒烤爐就可用上10年或以上。
