冬天車子駛過灑了鹽的公路時，車底佈滿鹽和濕泥，若不清理，日子久了，鹽會損壞車底和輪圈附近的車身導致生銹。建議在下雪過後一星期內用清水噴射車底把鹽和泥等污漬冲走。若水喉己收起過冬，可幫襯冼車店代勞。
那麼做車底防銹又有用嗎？個人認為，新車可考慮做車底防銹，前題是：很多新車出廠時己做車底防銹，若自行再做，萬一在保養期內有銹，原廠保養會失效，因此考慮新車做防銹前要留意這點。舊車就不建議做，車底某部件已生銹，就算在表面做防銹只能治標，內裡的銹依然存在，既然無補於事, 倒不如省回筆錢算了。
此外, 冬天可改用較稀的機油 (例如 W5-30). W 指 winter (冬季), W 數值越細 (例如 W5) 越適合在冬天使用, 較稀的機油在低溫環境下有較佳的潤滑表現去保護引掣. 夏天可用較大 W 數值 (例如 W10-30 或 W15-30) 的機油 。
記住! 汽車保養和皮膚護理一樣, 要經常做和恆常做, 那麼汽車可以用上十年或以上。
